Ty Anderson: Bergeron returns to practice, hopeful for home opener

I love the top 6 but I feel like they gotta let Belesky play with Krejci. Belesky and Hayes have proven time and again to be completely useless on the 3rd line together, and I think Belesky does pretty well with Krejci. Those two with Backes could be like the old hulk and kill lines. I also think they should trade Spooner

Really don't understand the hate on Spooner. They're trying to convert him to wing. He's got 7 shots and an assist. He hasn't been spectacular or anything, but he hasn't weighed us down.

no question Hayes is useless plug but i just think spooner is soft as grapes and not going to turn into this offensive dynamo we want him to. trade him while there is some perceived value there.

Spooner was flying in the pre-season and he also put up a fair amount of points last year. Once you get Backes on the line with Krejci and Spooner they will start to tear it up.

Krejci is going to need a couple weeks to get his confidence. He has looked off.

What's wrong with heinen there again? It's been three games, give it some time to gel.

As soon as Randell is ready they better put him in instead of Hayes.
He has size, can shoot, can hit, can fight, he keeps the other team honest and works his a$$ off. Plus the guy is just plain scary, he's Wolf on the wing.

yep. he's got some talent, no question. but IMO he never becomes a dependable NHL player. that whiff in the neutral zone when, whoever it was, i don't remember, totally turned him into a pylon was enough for me.

Nothing wrong with Heinen, just trying to put together a competent third line. Belesky + Hayes = chasing the puck

Not a fan of Spooner. I have yet to see him win, or even come close to winning, any battle along the boards, behind the net, or anywhere else for that matter. If the puck is loose near him, you can bet the bank he's not coming away with it. Most times people will argue that it's not his game, that he's a quick playmaker/goal scorer. I would venture to say most of his assists last year were secondary, and he has shown time and again his inability to find the back of the net. Let us not even get into his atrocious defensive play, or his knack for turnovers (lots on the PP mind you), as that would turn into another couple paragraphs. Keep him on 4th or 3rd line duties only. He doesn't belong playing with the stars.

Edit: They are trying to convert him to wing because he sucks as a center. Faceoffs and solid back checking are MUSTS to be a good centerman. Neither of which is he good at.
